Following the success of the 2005 medical mission
team to Bulgaria , we were privileged to have another group from FBC Gainesville, Georgia. This time we brought 8 mission
team members, 5 teachers/school administrators, and 3 medical staff. We spent a sunny week in the northwest town of Lom,
situated on the Danube River - a 3-hour drive from Sofia.
Half of the team members were returning members of the 2005 team and proved to be a big help for the 'newcomers'. The medical
staff spent the week working in one of Lom's gypsy ghettos: helping those who cannot access affordable medical care and medication.
The rest of the group invested their time and energy in being with the children in the orphanage. They played games, did
crafts, taught computer lessons, and took and printed out loads and loads of pictures.
We have countless stories to tell and pictures to share from our week in Bulgaria!
