I grew up in the city of Pleven in north-central Bulgaria. After completing high school I attended university, where I studied
International Business. I first encountered a Bulgarian orphanage in 1993 when I was just 19: the memories from that visit
have left a long-lasting impression. I could practically feel the struggles, disappointments and regrets of the children.
I remember thinking what it would have been like if, like many orphans, I was never valued and given a chance.
Though much has happened in my life since that first visit, I’ve never lost my desire to help Bulgaria's orphans. Building
close relationships with them over the years has helped me to learn more about their problems; consequently, I've been able
to develop a new approach to working with orphans. This strategy has slowly taken shape over the last few years, and through
it I have truly experienced the richness and excitement of God's blessings as he brings that vision to life.
In leading this work, God had opened many doors - sometimes in the most unexpected ways. So many unexpectancies has assured
me of God's compassion and love for these children. I consider myself privileged to be a part of his plan.

I was born in Sofia - the son and grandson of Baptist ministers – and I grew up surrounded by loved ones who had
paid a serious price for their Christian faith. Feeling called to full-time ministry after high school, missionary friends
from Texas helped me to enrol at Baylor University. Upon graduating in 1997 with a theology degree, I continued my theological
studies at McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia. I received my Masters of Divinity degree in 2000 and in September
2001, became an ordained minister in the Baptist Church.
Whilst living in the US, I returned to Bulgaria twice a year to lead mission projects, youth camps and theological seminars.
Through these experiences coupled with my studies in the USA, I believe God has called me to help people. Being able to stand
alongside those who need help is something that has given me the greatest satisfaction and fulfilment. I’m left amazed
at the support, resources and miraculous ways God continues to give Tedi and I the opportunity to serve those whom he loves.
